I asked Skewy first. It will be touch and go whether they will be "ordered" to, but theres a more than decent chance it will be closed anyway. Restaurants and pubs may just decide to as they are gonna be so empty now.

Well thats very different to what Skewy seems to be suggesting.
There is no chance in this earth or the next that restaurants will be ordered to close by 7.30pm Friday. There we go.

Re: PDC Premier League 2020
I have a table for 10 (wife, kids and grandchild only) booked Wednesday evening as it’s my twin daughter’s 18th birthday.
I genuinely don’t know whether to cancel it or go. I know the advice is to avoid restaurants, but you are only 18 once right?
I’m thinking whilst venues are not ordered to close it’s individual decisions.

Because whilst it's only "advice", the govt dont have to take responsibility for the decision.Ginge wrote:Well thats very different to what Skewy seems to be suggesting.

Once its ordered, they need to dip their hands in their pockets and help out.
Johnson may as well have just stood and shrugged his shoulders for ten minutes.

I dont think that restaurant will be open by Friday, by choice.
I thought it was quite obvious what I meant.

You think the Government cant force restaurants to close if they so wished? Really?Skewball wrote:? Er,no. So you arent taking my wager then. Thought as much.

I had to suspend our league tonight. Only got grief from one person, he is a bit like Ginge.BlueSpark wrote:The Whitchurch and Overton District Quiz League been suspended now. Bang go my Monday nights for the foreseeable.

I dont think they can until they put some new legislation in. That's what someone said on the radio earlier anyway.Ginge wrote:You think the Government cant force restaurants to close if they so wished? Really?Skewball wrote:? Er,no. At least half the people in your team will still be going down the pub anyway, so all a bit pointless.Skewball wrote:I had to suspend our league tonight. And why would I take a wager on something I didn't say?

Unless you know the specific restaurant I had chosen was going to shut down, which you possibly cant know.

Dont care, that their individual decision. I spoke to a captain who an underlying condition tonight , another who is 76 with an ill wife and a third who is 4 months pregnant and the last one wasnt comfortable playing. Your ignorance of actually going out playing darts in teams does let you down sometimes.
Re: PDC Premier League 2020
It bloody well wasnt. I am guessing that virtually every restaurant will have shut by Friday by their own accord. It's not rocket science and your track record so far on this virus hasnt exactly been spot on.Ginge wrote:Its clearly what you meant to be fair.Skewball wrote:And why would I take a wager on something I didn't say?
