Pdc.tv extending subscriptions

Post by ssjsa »

Received this email today.

Due to the current global situation, a number of PDC events have been postponed in line with worldwide restrictions. Because of this, we recognise that PDCTV Annual Subscribers are unable to enjoy all of your benefits during this period.

We will initially be providing all PDCTV Annual Subscribers with a one month extension to their membership. This will then be reviewed on an ongoing basis if events continue to be postponed.

Your extension will automatically apply once your existing PDCTV Annual Subscription expires, therefore you do not need to take any action.

Don’t forget that, even though there are no live events at present, you can still enjoy great PDC archive content and event highlights at PDCTV as well as exclusive interviews and episodes of The Darts Show.

We will continue to monitor the situation over the coming weeks and should this need to be re-assessed further we will be in contact.

We thank you for your patience during this challenging time.

Barry Hearn, PDC Chairman.

Glad to get this as a subscriber but wish their archived content was better. Do they own the rights to past matches? Would be great to have some of the major finals from past years available in full. Maybe they monetise this in some other way?

The current catalogue of short highlight videos and players championship finals is pretty underwhelming. So getting a break on cost, albeit deferred, isnt worth much without live darts. At least with a richer archive it would have some value.
