What a tremendous leg to win a tremendous match.
Re: GSOD 2020
What absolute bottle from Wade, fair play.
Re: GSOD 2020
That single 1 is going to haunt Dimi.
Re: GSOD 2020
Good game, experience just nicked it.

Re: GSOD 2020
I honestly didn't think Wade would win that until he threw the winning dart. He never looked the winner at any stage except the second at the end when he'd won. If he had anything like the scoring power of some of his contemporaries, that fecker would be the world number one right now. Got to love a real match-player.

Bristow. Remember Bristow was his mentor for a couple of years at the end. It was said as a joke.

Re: GSOD 2020
Thought Wade was magnificent tonight.
Kept in there, and to produce those last two legs was Wade at his very best.

Re: GSOD 2020
I think Wade might have the most bottle out of any player ever. Maybe Part up there as well. I wouldn't count Phil as his mental strength came from knowing he was better than everyone else.

Can't see how throwing to the same standard as the night before can be classed as folding.

Re: GSOD 2020
Whoever wins tomorrow won't be classed as a winner by some neither beat, MVG, Wright, Anderson etc along the way, plus no crowd, different venue
Thinking of one.
Re: GSOD 2020
He hit way fewer 180s than the night before, and he hit them at important times against MvG, winning the key legs. Yes, the overall average might have been the same, but the standard wasn't when it came to winning the match.

Re: GSOD 2020
I've often considered Wade the successor to John Part as the consummate match-player. Both bloody hard to beat and proof that averages have never told the full story of how darts matches are won.
Re: GSOD 2020
The last few days have been non stop superb darts. Can you imagine the final being anything but 16-15? Wade and De Sousa should be a great match up.
Re: GSOD 2020
Wade v De Sousa has 16-15 either way written all over it.
