Its not that much more than last year tbh

£70 for a table ticket this year for the final or semi final, £68 last year
£45 for an evening 1st round table ticket, £43 last year.

Just looks a lot more as you have to buy 4 at a time, I suppose.

They would have no way of checking anyway. If they ask for ID, just present ID that doesnt have an address on it, like a passport.

Presumably there are checks when purchasing and entering the event, sure the PDC have it covered to stop people going against the rules of the land!

Well yes, you check a box to say everyone lives with you or is in your bubble when you buy the tickets, and they will randomly ask for ID on the door. Anyone can lie and check the box for the first bit, and anyone can show ID with their name on it but not their address for the second bit if asked to do so. What else are you expecting them to do?

By doing the above they are covering themselves, you cant account for people doing as I suggest.

I remember going in a pub a couple of months back.

"Are you all from the same address"?
"Yes"
"Ok, follow me then"

That was it. No doubt the experience of most on here.

Are there no proper vetting checks?

Why would people not follow the rules as you suggest??

Have you actually read the full details?

https://www.pdc.tv/news/2020/12/02/2020 ... nformation

Vetting? In what way? Almost all the regulations in place across the land are relying on goodwill, you and I know loads arent bothered, plenty will lie about it.

Are you expecting the PDC to perform full electoral roll checks when people buy tickets? In any case, "bubbles" can be formed with people at different addresses, absolutely zero way this can be policed. If 4 people want to go and watch the darts live separately, there is very little anyone can do about it if they keep their gobs shut.

Ha but comparing going into a pub and to going to an organised paid for major sporting event is slightly different.

Not really, there is a huge reliance on goodwill. Horse racing on at the moment as an example, they have said nobody from a T3 area can go into Haydock today, but you can guarantee plenty will have by getting a mate in T2 to get the ticket for them (the oval of Haydock racecourse is in T3 but the entrance and address is in T2, if you walk out the entrance and turn right 150 yards you are in a T3 area)

Even the face covering regs are based on goodwill, you dont actually have to prove you are exempt to a shopkeeper or whatever. You can blame the Tories for it all tbh.

So if I but tickets for myself and 3 mates from Sheffield how likely are they to turn you away considering we are in a tier 3 area.
Basically only those in Tier 1 or 2 should be able to buy tickets for this event.

If they do the vetting correctly (you’d think so) then won’t be allowed to purchase tickets.

Could all be academic anyway if London goes into tier 3 !
