Also, they seem to think that when the world goes back to normal, promoters will bid for the champion to come to their local venue, where the promoter could try and turn a profit by selling tickets and merchandise. Presumably that makes Wayne Warren something akin to a 1970s NWA champion, going to the various territories to take on the local hero for the belt. Honestly, if they could find a champion who'd be willing to "play the heel", so to speak, it'd probably not be bad entertainment.
Maybe Nicho will have a go.
Even though you are in a wind up, he's almost certainly thinking about it. So will be Mason, I'd imagine.
Not on a wind up at all.

Nicholson cultivating the "bad boy" image with the TV major and a few big wins over Feel, only to then completely revert to "I'm a good boy, please don't boo me" once he got a bit back, is one of the most disappointing things in recent darting memory. I'd imagine it'd be much the same here.

He'd know exactly what he needed to say and do to get people to dislike him enough to pay to see someone beat him, yet he couldn't deal with an audience booing him.

Depends on the 'legends', I suppose. In theory, you could get a Taylor or a Barney turn out who would play to a very decent standard, generate loads of publicity and give the thing a degree of credibility, even if it meant that challengers would dry up real quick. On the other hand, if it turns into Mace or Hankey hoying turds at a board against Jim Williams, then aye, it'll be shite.

I got banned from their Facebook page after two posts for saying “nice to see darts finally getting involved in mlm scams” and then a link to how to spot something is a mlm.

A couple of my comments got deleted too, albeit I wasn't banned from their FB page. It does seem that negative or critical comments magically disappear - I guess you can't have any dissenting voices against the best thing since sliced bread!

When the rest of it is up and running - the regional and super-regional thingys, how long is it before it clashes with stuff UKAD organise?

Bag carrier seems to think so but the main thing they are trying to set up seems to clash with it. lol be it not county but would mae a very congested calender and would surely only lead to a split in numbers.

The system for belts etc works for boxing cause of how it works where they have a bout may 3 or 4 times a year at the top. Doesn’t work in darts where they can play each other every other day. Once things get back up and running the same players will be competing in county, challenge tour, opens etc. The belt won’t be moving hand every time. The whole concept is a gimmick

They probably just thought they were way cooler than 'Bedfordshire', 'Merseyside' etc. Some names that didn't make the cut:
Hedgehogs
Red Squirrels
Robins
Eels

From what I gather your results in Super League and National league (county) can count towards you MAD ranking.

Well, I assume Taylor comes from tailor. Prins is a common Dutch last name that means Prince.

Or did you mean all the stupid nicknames? Clearly inspired by the corporatism of American sports, but ignoring the fact that American sports teams are abandoning Native American nicknames. NFL's Washington dropped Redskins and today MLB's Cleveland dropped Indians.

Fair point, I am disgusted and appalled they have used the term Apaches.
