Would have made absolutely zero difference. The Asian Tour putting on more events, and players from Asia winning a tour card and bothering to commit to going to all the events is the only thing that might make them competitive in years to come.

Competitive doesn't mean the top boys having a 50% chance of beating the PDC Pro Tour jobbers, while the Indians and Chinese lads are lucky to get a set.

Competitive means in ten years there are three or four Asians in the top 32 of the Order of Merit. Inviting their top boys to the worlds and World Cup doesn't do anything towards that goal. Giving their top four players tour cards, helping with costs to enable them to play all the tournaments, and putting on ranking events in Asia (both in the secondary Asian Tour, and the primary PDC tour with all the top players) would be much more useful.

Probably got caught out for his non practicing before long format games. He hasn’t had a good year anyway TBF. Had Hunt to win it in the comp for that reason.
