To be fair they announced all of this bollox in the middle of a global pandemic and said it would be monthly. More fool them.BlueSpark wrote:Are you for real?
I think the national lockdown and global pandemic may have become more important ffs.

Re: MAD Darts- THE DAWN (12th December)
It may be currently. But the bids were open from the 1st and closed on the 7th. We weren’t in lockdown for all of it. Even if they have to delay when matches are played, Assuming they want it all in person, the bids should still be there. Eat the announcement out and book the date in. Any time from beginning of March should be ok based on what we have been told.
Re: MAD Darts- THE DAWN (12th December)
Clearly they've received no bids of note, otherwise they would be advertising the fact that an appropriate bid was received to try and drum up some interest in this truly awful idea.

Funny that there was a science mush on telly saying any sort of scenes of normality will be autumn at earliestDavidOwen67 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 6:17 pmJune 22nd.Moongoose McQueeen wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 5:41 pm Tbh they should have waited til Covid had been dealt with.

be very lucky to see pub darts this year
Re: MAD Darts- THE DAWN (12th December)
Would love that to be the case here too. My primary league was small, only 8 teams. Getting enough bars, teams and players all willing to playing again, who knows. Autumn seems a long way off, but so did 2021 when I walked out of the office in Feb/March and not been back.
A nearby league had 60+ teams, they may have an easier time restarting if turnout starts slow.

Instead of the original challenge plan, they will be holding online knockout tournaments to decide the contender for the belts.
March 20th - England
March 21st - Wales
March 27th - England Invaders (South East England)
March 28th - World
Not sure how many people are really going to pay £60 to enter a tournament just so they can possibly play Wayne Warren.
Re: MAD Darts- THE DAWN (12th December)
So they have backtracked already. Kell surpree.

I imagine the 12 and 20 quid ones should do alright.
Re: MAD Darts- THE DAWN (12th December)
So the person that wins this challenge event, then goes down to Bristol, if they beat Warren (or whoever it is for the other belts) do they win anything other than the belt/title?

The Champion and Challenger will share some of the entry fees, although they are a bit vague on how it will be worked out.
