Lockdown hasn't been kind to Chisnalls belly.

The crowd creates atmosphere. Ask duzza how he felt with the bdo crowds.

Its like a gig. You are there to watch the band but when the place is packed it adds to the enjoyment. I went to watch 'From the Jam' on the all mod cons tour. Packed out. Singing with strangers all the words to Tube Station.

No crowds make no difference? Rubbish.

Better with crowds = fair enough

Not interested in watching without crowds = odd, for a darts fan.

Nobody is suggesting its not different but to go from "darts is great" to "darts is a load of shit" merely because the people who are normally in the room watching it are not there is beyond absurd, especially when they are piping in atmospherics.

You don’t miss the crowds in snooker but they have to be silent most of the time. Although the bloke with the finger on the clap machine button seems an idiot as that doesn’t work well at all.

Tennis is another sport I don’t mind no crowd but again they are supposed to be silent during rallies.

With PDC darts the PDC should go into the party business, as said they don’t need the darts but you do need TV as people want to act like dicks to the camera and then watch back the recording when back home.

Where did I say it was shit, I said it bored me, same as boxing does with no crowd.

It's an opinion and others still find it enjoyable I get that.

You watch darts to watch the crowd? Image
Nope just not the same it's flat etc.

Still enjoy football and F1 without but darts doesn't work for me.
This is insane. You either like watching darts or you don't.

The crowd is irrelevant
So all the comments about lack of crowd at BDO events were wrong?
To be fair, you have a point about the hypocrisy involved from certain quarters here.

Doesn't feel the same for me without the fans at all. Don't like it and not watching much at all.
I never really liked watching the pro tour streams for the same reason

Showed some real bottle at the end after that wobble when he missed a slew of doubles. Thought that 155 for Chisnall would finish it but credit to luke for finishing the way he did.

Another good match in a good session.

When you're there, yes!
78,000 people in the Principality Stadium is a phenomenal atmosphere.

But watching on TV the sporting spectacle isn't reduced anywhere near enough that I don't watch.

I wouldn't have dreamed of missing the Wales v England game on TV last week just because there was no crowd. Normally I would have been there in person, of course. :welsh
