If you're a frequent visitor on here you know I only care about Steve Beaton. But apart from that: due to the fact that they take 4 PCs at once there are far more weeks without darts and it feels like a bloody boring period on that part. And yeah there have been PL darts, but thats more of the same names.
European Tour 2021

Re: European Tour 2021
I prefer the 4 or 5 Players Championships crammed together tbh. No reason to ask players to travel for 15 Pro Tour weekends a year when they could play all those tournaments across 7 or 8 weeks.

Re: European Tour 2021
I do as well prefer it that way.
I enjoyed the PL more this ear than almost any other in years, due to the block sessions , none of this drip feeding a night a week

It also frees up more weekends for euro tour style events that are more fan and tv friendly.

Every day over 2 would add a weekday.

Hungary and Gibraltar are hardly hotbeds of darts, but better than no Euro tour

Re: European Tour 2021
The problem is the two countries they want these events in Netherlands and Germany have some of the toughest Covid entry restrictions for those coming from the U.K.
Not sure if they would give darts a pass on the quarantine requirements that football seems to get.
There may be some hope for Germany as with Merkel in U.K. visiting Boris she is now talking about double vaccinated people being exempt the quarantine period with appropriate negative tests, but that isn’t in place yet.
Haven’t heard anything about Netherlands. There it’s just no to entry, not even a quarantine option.
Hence unsurprising PDC Europe are going to other countries. They could actually look at new cities in places like Barcelona or more in Eastern Europe where they are more welcoming. However probably wherever they go players would need to be double vaccinated to reduce risk of entry to country issues.

Qualifier 2 underway, and already Durrant is out off Euro tour 2.
He loses this time to Wayne Jones.
Who was it again that said when durrant would start defending money he would fall away.....why it was me.
And dont give me the covid excuse either

Everybody was predicting that he'd reach 3 major semi-finals, and win the Premier League, and then immediately have a spectacular collapse in form.BlueSpark wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 6:23 pmIt wasn’t just youGarry Murphy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 6:03 pm Qualifier 2 underway, and already Durrant is out off Euro tour 2.
