Bomber is spot on.
maybe bram noticed mvg has won fek all this year and thought there must have been no tournaments, rather than the twelvety-hundred there have been and that mvg is more finished than a ham sandwich in ethiopia
If you're a frequent visitor on here you know I only care about Steve Beaton. But apart from that: due to the fact that they take 4 PCs at once there are far more weeks without darts and it feels like a bloody boring period on that part. And yeah there have been PL darts, but thats more of the same names.

I prefer the 4 or 5 Players Championships crammed together tbh. No reason to ask players to travel for 15 Pro Tour weekends a year when they could play all those tournaments across 7 or 8 weeks.

I do as well prefer it that way.

I enjoyed the PL more this ear than almost any other in years, due to the block sessions , none of this drip feeding a night a week

It also frees up more weekends for euro tour style events that are more fan and tv friendly.

They'll go back to the regular PC weekends once COVID is done.

Hungary and Gibraltar are hardly hotbeds of darts, but better than no Euro tour

The problem is the two countries they want these events in Netherlands and Germany have some of the toughest Covid entry restrictions for those coming from the U.K.

Not sure if they would give darts a pass on the quarantine requirements that football seems to get.

There may be some hope for Germany as with Merkel in U.K. visiting Boris she is now talking about double vaccinated people being exempt the quarantine period with appropriate negative tests, but that isn’t in place yet.

Haven’t heard anything about Netherlands. There it’s just no to entry, not even a quarantine option.

Hence unsurprising PDC Europe are going to other countries. They could actually look at new cities in places like Barcelona or more in Eastern Europe where they are more welcoming. However probably wherever they go players would need to be double vaccinated to reduce risk of entry to country issues.

Fun fact for today.
In ET1 and ET2 Jamie Hughes drew Lisa Ashton and Aaron Beeney and lost both games.

Everybody was predicting that he'd reach 3 major semi-finals, and win the Premier League, and then immediately have a spectacular collapse in form.
