one major and 2 mickey mouse yank events in his entire career....suppose that is your idea of a resume of a top player.

When Mardle did beat Taylor in a major...a proper major not some glorified holiday jaunt in the nevada desert ,he then proceeded to sh1t his load against Kirk shepherd.....no...that's not a typo .....KIRK SHEPHERD., who averaged a staggering 88.

He could not beat shepherd throwing an 88 average over 10 sets....that is the epitome of choking by mardle. Fat twat thought because he beat Taylor he had it won. That is why John Part was a winner, he did not slip up and like a proper winner, took home the title.

Mardle will always be one of the very first names I think of when i think of choker.

it's not pretend form sunshine, it's fact and you can check the results yourself

there have been 28 PDC major and ranking events this year and everyone has had the same chances, even with the PL if they had won something last year they'd have been in it and the results say what they do, averages and early round scores count for fuck all, in winning form it's all about winning or putting yourself in with a chance to win something

Smith M. may say he should be in the PL but in those 28 events he has achieved exactly the same as Smith R. who doesn't say much, which is one win and one runners-up spot - they have each got to the last 4 twice in the 28 events, they have equally achieved this year

similarly Aspinall has achieved exactly the same as Clemens which is just 3 losing semi-finals from those 28 events so they are equal on form this year and behind Heta who has made two finals

Cross on form this year has achieved the same as Kciuk, van Peer and Worsley to name but a few, as in one semi-final loss so they are equal on form

there have been 48 players so far who have made it to the last four in the 28 events so far held, if it carries on the rankings will be changing quicker than they have done

So if they have the same 'form' with wins, finals and semis can you not go to QF appearances to split them?

yes, you could but i'm not sure it is worth the effort if they are both equally putting themselves in with a chance of winning something - what they do in round 1 or 2 or 3 if it goes no further is not much more relevant than what they do in practice, to win something you have to get to the last four and then hold your nerve twice - it would be a lot of effort for being able to differentiate between a 1.6i hatchback and a 1.7i hatchback while there are mercs and beemers and supercars further up the list - who cares about the ladas and citroens?

there are 16 winners this year from 28 events and humphries and mvg are standout non-winners, everyone else has achieved not a lot to fuck all, it's pretty much like them 18 are the premier league and the rest are championship/league1/2/non-league/scottish football

i know they've given mvg an easy board but making him second favourite ahead of snakebite and the ferret is mental

the 200/1 for barney and scotty is a bit of fun though
