Welsh Classic:

Kirsty Hutchinson v Beau Greaves
Jim Williams v Thibault Tricole

Welsh Open:

Kirsty Hutchinson v Beau Greaves
Cameron Menzies v James Hurrell
Beau's Dartitis has shifted quickly.

Fair play to her getting rid of it that quickly.
It's not completely gone, as she's taking ages to set up her throw.
Sometimes it just looks like she gives up on feeling right and throws anyway.
Ah right.

Just thought she must have got rid of it as she was in 2 finals and won the mixed pairs.

It might be the source of it, but it's manifesting in other ways. Towards the end of the Open she was taking multiple attempt just to get in her stance, and then multiple times not even getting the dart fully up let alone back or forwards to the release point.

Her throw used to be (including the last time she was on stream at the Isle of Man 2020), up, back, forward, back then forward and release. Now she just brings it up back, forward and release.

I don't know if she was trying to simplify it anyway, or she's simplified it as a way to get past the dartitis.

Still, even with her struggles she's still one of the better ladies. She dropped into the high 60s in a couple of games, but otherwise threw 70s, a couple of 80s and a 98.56 (17,14,17,13), plus had a bonus of a mixed pairs win on the Saturday.

Hopefully it gets better from here. Sherrock, Ashton, Suzuki and Greaves was looking to be a decent top four a couple of years ago.

Leave the girl alone, she knows what she’s doing.
Better at darts than anyone on here, as if you lot are in a position to analyze her throw

Tony and I are better than her.

Duzza has an account but these days that’s probably irrelevant.

It's a Gold event so the the 4 winners are given a "Golden ticket" straight to the Lakeside however all 4 winners in Wales would be guaranteed to qualify for the Lakeside anyway being in top 6 via the Ranking tables ! who makes up this nonsense :?

1. Not a normal year

That's there. First time you heard it here.

Haven't you got some close relatives to neglect instead of playing "gotcha" on a darts forum?
Luke Littler. Is he as annoying as Leighton Bennett is?

3. They want players at Lakeside who can get up on a stage in front of a crowd and win, not selection by ability to tour. (See Richard Ashdown's Tungsten Tales interview).

Yep, if they also do the tour so much the better, but we all know that plenty of players qualify for Lakeside just through persistence and travel miles. This isn't the year to judge the success of the qualifying criteria, but fingers crossed next year will be more like a normal year for the WDF.

So they're trying to ease out those with no actual competence but who possess a bottomless pit of cash to go chasing easy points round the shitholes of Eastern Europe?
I wonder who on earth they could be referring to?
