footballafc wrote: Wed Dec 08, 2021 1:45 am In terms of the prize money, not sure how it amounts to £15m...added it up myself and it comes to under £14m. Have I missed something?

WORLDS £2,500,000
PREM £1,000,000
MATCHPLAY £800,000
SLAM £650,000
PLAYERS £600,000
WORLD SERIES £600,000
PRIX £550,000
EUROS £500,000
UK OPEN £450,000
WORLD CUP £350,000
MASTERS £220,000
WORLD YOUTH £60,000

PROTOURS £3,000,000
EUROTOUR £1,820,000
CHALLENGE £240,000
YOUTH £240,000
WOMENS £100,000

TOTAL £13,680,000
Good question. Perhaps they are including all the Affiliate Tours as well. Even then you'd think that would not make up nearly 1.4 million.

There is definitely the World Series events around the world not just the finals. Haven’t they committed to the ones in Australia x 2, NZ and US whilst Denmark and Germany may come back.

Also the Champions League, the invitational for the BBC, may come back, which was binned last couple of years given Covid.

On the DAZN subject, I suspect come the time of the next PL fundraising round, they will have a presence and at that point they will start a channel in the U.K. (and charge £20pm which is another kick in the teeth for football followers).

They didnt they just decided to not bid for the away tours. C4 only got the India series because Sky wouldnt take.

BT Sport coverage for the ashes last night was utter trash. for the game they just took the Australlia fox coverage.

Why ?

Are they now black listed by PDC as they bought rights to Seniors WC ? a rival organising body. In the same way all TV channels showing PDC can’t show WDF.

I forgot about f1 when it moved to sky. Didn't sky take pretty much all the main players when it moved to them?

The only survivor from the terrestrial F1 coverage is Martin Brundle - in between Sky taking it, it went to BBC and Channel 4 apart from that, spot on again Col.

Aye - let's throw him a bone. There has been some crossover here and there but I agree with your original point - different platforms picking up coverage from other broadcasters hasn't really resulted in a migration of staff. In darts Sky and ITV both use Mark Webster but I can't think of many others.
