Has Boris Koltsov withdrawn??
Re: 2022 Uk Open thread
He apparently lives in Munich so it wont be travel issues if he does withdraw.TheSandman wrote:Has Boris Koltsov withdrawn??

No reason required really - even if he held a Ukraine flag and wore a sign saying "No to War" there'd still be idiots ready to give him dog's abuse because of where he was born.
Re: 2022 Uk Open thread
I don't think any players or random individuals should be getting abuse, but getting the public to turn against Putin is the only available tactic (along with sanctions) against someone who is threatening to push the nuke button.Si Robin wrote:No reason required really - even if he held a Ukraine flag and wore a sign saying "No to War" there'd still be idiots ready to give him dog's abuse because of where he was born.
The only hope of a positive outcome from all this is for the mad bastard to be overthrown and the only way that happens is if the Russian people turn on him en masse, which is hard to achieve when the state run the media (something a lot of Brits seem to want to aspire to, but thats a different story).
It's unfortunate for innocent Russians but necessary.

stop any increase in prize funds for a year would generate a decent sum of money towards building their own centre.
I would not imagine the overall cost would be that much of a huge endeavour for them.
I am sure there are plenty of building up for sale post covid and could get one to suit at a decent price if they wanted to go down that route
