Starting on Saturday, July 16, at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, the most important darting title after the World Championship will be fought for: the World Matchplay. This features a total of 800,000 pounds in the prize fund including 200,000 for the winner.
For this 29th edition it is difficult to point out a top favorite. Of course world champions Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen are top contenders, but the differences at the top are currently minimal. So we can expect many exciting matches and it is extra fun to put together a team in the Fantasy World Matchplay 2022.
The Fantasy World Matchplay starts on Saturday 16 July 2022 at 20:15 hours CET.
