Can anyone tell me if the Winner of the 1978 World Masters was a Welsh player called Ronnie Davies or a Geordie called Ronnie Davis?

And was it the same player who reached the Last 16 of the Lakeside in 1979?

Hello,
The player who won the World Masters 1978 was Ronnie Davis and was a Northumberland County player. He played also in the Lakeside 1979.
So Not correct Cat. This is information I got from World Darts March 1979 (embassy) and the programbook of the World Masters 1978 & 79.

I also mis 3 England qualifiers for the World Masters 1978.

I often wonder whatever happened to Ronnie Davis I know he played in the 79 World Professional at Jollees and he won 1 England cap but he seemed to have disappeared off the radar

It's only 40 years ago. I'm sure he's still a world class player.
