Menzies will not be at the UK open
Re: UK Open Qualifier Entries
At the same time Mensur needs to realise that he may have only a couple of years playing at this level so the argument can be made for him to play as many money earning tournaments as he can.oche balboa wrote:Mensur is a family man. No Fitton or O’shea entered either.
Re: UK Open Qualifier Entries
The UK open is the most time consuming to qualify for with the smallest tv prize money. Not a surprise someone Europe based would miss it.

You mean they weren't high up enough to qualify?MancheStar wrote:No Fitton or O’shea entered either.

And I don’t think he can; I think it’s only for players who didn’t get high enough on the list. Not for players too stupid to remember the entry deadline. It could be seen as an attempt at an easier loophole at qualifying.

Re: UK Open Qualifier Entries
Just seen this posted by Burton on Twitter.
It appears Robert Marijanovic has been added to the UK Open qualifiers entry list.
Here are the changes since the initial posting of UK Open Qualifier entrants:
UKOQ1: Robert Marijanovic replaces Berry van Peer
UKOQ2: Robert Marijanovic replaces Wes Newton
UKOQ3: Robert Marijanovic replaces Wes Newton
Seems to indicate that Wes Newton was the last person to get into the fields through the Q School Order of Merit. At least for most days. A few players even further down the list got in to the final one of the 6 qualifiers.

At a guess, 256 minus the number of Tour Card Holders who entered?MancheStar wrote:How many got in through the Qschool table?Ginge wrote:You mean they weren't high up enough to qualify?MancheStar wrote:No Fitton or O’shea entered either.

Oh yeah forgot about the combined uk/Euro table
Re: UK Open Qualifier Entries
Wes Newton sneaked in as per above, and he was 148th on the UK list (148 includes the tour card winners).

So probably about 30 or so above him who said no?

Another tweet from Burton.
My quick maths tell me these are the first alternates into the fields for each day:
UKO1: Ben Burton
UKO2: Wes Newton
UKO3: Wes Newton
UKO4: Andy Jenkins
UKO5: Andy Jenkins
UKO6: Who bloody knows, went so far down the entry list this day I couldn't be bothered to figure it out

Re: UK Open Qualifier Entries
I’d have thought Cameron menzies wouldn’t be allowed into the Rileys qualifiers , the fact he was given an option and didn’t enter regardless of the reason would mean he’s passed on the chance to play?

Re: UK Open Qualifier Entries
Dennis SMith is on the list. He was pretty low on the Q School list and wasnt at the challenge tour events last week. How did he get in?
Re: RE: Re: UK Open Qualifier Entries
He made it in with room to spare. 108th on the invite list and in the case of the first qualifier he was 90th or so to accept his spot and they invited 103.Bram_1900 wrote:Dennis SMith is on the list. Tony O'Shea was actually eligible for UKOQ6.
