2 beautiful minutes that capture a lot of what sends me slightly nuts every year when the Tour de France is on.

Check out the crash about half way through!

IF you didn't watch the tour live today. Recommend to watch the highlights. One of the best stages I have ever seen on the flat. OPQ, Saxo and Belkin teams were amazing.

The best flat stage I have seen since the one when they went over the cobbles a few years ago.

Just watched again, highlights and interviews. Crazy day! Can't believe Baukje Mollema is in 2nd going into the Alps. Not sure he can retain 2nd place but an impressive performance to be ahead of Contador.

It was going so well until the train level crossing barrier went down and divided the field.

9 riders have escaped on the first climb and are 5 mins down the road. The 2 chasers that a re 5 mins behind are just over a minute ahead of the peloton.

Considering this is a mountain stage the early pace of almost 45km/h for the first 1.5 hours seems crazy!

Something reminded me of this. Johnny Hoogerland being sent into a barbed-wire fence in 2011 by an idiot in a TV car.

Shredded his left leg, but he got up and finished the stage. Tough little bugger!
