Get the ghost of Eric Bristow on the board. He will sort it out.

If they had any sense the board would move quick and call the Trophy used at Lakeside 'The Crafty Cockney Cup'

before the PDC think of the idea

You mean rename the Sid Wadell Trophy?

You mean if it was used at Lakeside by the BDO and had his name on it 5 times ?

With the Williams announcing that they are stepping down in August is this now an opportunity to vote Des off?

Big weekend for BDO darts , the fantastic Denmark open and masters one of the highlights of the year , a well run and financed event .
But some could say events in Walsall on Sunday at the BDO EGM are far more important .
Personally I feel it's time for change we seem to have limped along these past few years , the promises made that overthrew Olly Croft have not been kept , the credibility of the BDO suffered hugely over the Deluxe debacle , promises made to players not kept which has drained the top end of our game year by year .
Players are realistic enough to know of the huge financial rewards of the PDC , but that doesn't mean they have to accept the way the BDO is going at the moment .
We started with BDOE , then we had the "New Era" Deluxe regime then allegedly a deal with Queensbury promotions ( how true that is who knows? ) before signing a deal with Sportotal ! Actually that completed a circle as Sportotal were the original BDOE or at least very similar .
We had Glen Durrant pledging his future to the BDO , past world champions in Waites, Adams and Scott Mitchell still plying their trade in the BDO , we have the fantastic top end ladies game as well .
Let's hope Sunday is a constructive meeting and that players feel re energized about our system .
There isn't an instant fix and I feel it will take a while to restore our credibility but at least the only way is up .
Would urge delegates to vote with the facts before them .....not with their hearts ."

The vote should be that they remove themselves immediately or step back into an advisory role with someone else (Des) taking over

Assuming Des is kept on. They could opt to vote him off as well as all directors are up for re-election at the meeting.

You sure? their new rules state that only a third of directors are up for election

Just what the BDO needs, some more divisive drama.

Oh well, who knows, might be in a couple of years we look back on this as the time the BDO got things back on track. I highly doubt it, but I've been wrong before.

Maybe they can discuss the dire and pathetic WDT ticket sales. Even less than the Welsh cinema had with less sessions and less time on sale.
