We will only know at the end of the season. Remember last year, that Adam Hunt finished third in the Development Tour OOM, and got a WC place despite the rules stating that if the Top 2 qualified under a different qualification criteria, 3rd place would not count.

Poorly written I think:

If a player qualifies through his own nation or region’s World Championship or World Youth Championship qualifying Event as well as his position on an Order of Merit, he will be deemed to have qualified through that route and not through the relevant Order of Merit and so the next unqualified player on the relevant Order of Merit will be invited to participate. This does not apply to players who qualify through the Development Tour Order of Merit.

Menzies is currently on the world championship spot from the challenge tour, while Evetts and Humphries would qualify through the development tour. The rules according the development tour haven't been updated yet.

Seigo Asada has won the Japanese qualifier, beating Shingo Enomata 5-1 in the final. Seen someone saying on twitter that as Asada has already qualified through the Asian Tour OOM, the fifth placed player from the Asian Tour OOM (currently Paul Lim) will now get a spot.

Asada got some criticism for participating, because it would make the qualifier meaningless. But that's not really correct. The Japanese qualifier is also the Japanese Championship. That's why Asada was also participated in this tournament and now is the Japanese champion.

Happy days Lim and Asada deffo some of the best in Asia so good to see them both qualify.

Lim isn’t guaranteed yet. Has a comfortable lead over the 6th best player in rankings but still 2 events left in Philippines. A win from anyone below him could put him under pressure.

Labanauskas and Larsson will be the Nordic representatives after Razma beat Kantele in the final of the last event. Had Kantele won he would have gone to the Worlds.

He won't play the German Superleague final as he's already qualified from the pro tour. If you qualify by any other method, you are not eligible to qualify as a pro tour player, so another pro tour player would get in. Not entirely sure about Dev Tour and the world youth

2) His Development Tour spot would go further down the rankings through his Pro Tour spot, so at the moment Ted Evetts and Luke Humphries will qualify that way.

3) If he becomes World Youth Champion, an extra ticket will be added to the PDPA Qualifier, as he will qualify through the Pro Tour.
