£500 to the winner!?

Someone in the comments claiming it used to be £2k. No idea if he is right or not but £500 is a pittance.

A monkey? One of the ladies will get £7500 by winning the PDC WC playoff in MK.
The divide gets more of a yawning chasm by the day,

Finnish open being stopped because it loses money, other tournaments around the world being cancelled or being threatened of cancellation (unless Paula has entere) so promoters offering realistic prize money they can afford.
It's sad but not unexpected.

How are these events so poorly funded their loads of pub/club events around me with similar prize funds. Surely these sort of events should be able to get the money.

Was an extra new event started about 4-5 years ago. Perhaps a bit optimistic. Should be binned now.

Had no idea. The pitiful fund though deserves it's own thread.

Anyway, someone can post the results in this one...
