After an initial chat tonight it's looking like NYNY or mgm grand or luxor are looking like favourites via Virgin Holidays. As we are looking so far out (1st week nov) then virgin coming up with some good prices, just over £2k including hotel/direct flights for 6 nights.

That’s a ridiculous price, don’t use virgin holidays they use a set price for flights that far out in advance and package deals are never cheap for vegas because the cheapest price for hotels is always direct.

Virgin Atlantic release their flights online 10 months before so for November you want to be looking end of January start of February. Thomas cook flights should be out by now.

Also all 3 hotels you mention are at the very south of the strip, Luxor is nice but a 20-30
Minute walk to the centre of the strip.

I booked 15 of the 30 guests last year and I didn’t pay higher than £900 for direct virgin flights and 7nights in flamingo

Thomas Cook only fly direct to Vegas from Manchester, not sure how convenient this is for Skewy.

Also I would suggest he only does 5 nights Sunday through Thursday. Doing 6 means he is going to be there on a Saturday or a Friday (or maybe both) and that night will be disproportionately more expensive for the hotel.

Thanks again both.

Noted re Hotels, and yes, Has to be from Heathrow. I think Virgin Atlantic is 11 month out so I will check in a minute. £2k is for 2 people, I thought the Virgin Holiday prices were ok!

Virgin Atlantic direct flight from London is Gatwick - VS43

Think the only company that does direct from Heathrow is BA I believe

5 nights (sun to Friday)
At NYNY is £1900 for two, Virgin direct/holidays.
or
£2,200 at MGM Grand

both seem ok price wise.

I think the package holidays can sometimes be alright, like I said going out for a wedding in September and I have booked hotel/flight seperately as I have booked Thomas Cook premium economy and Virgins' PE offering is a rip-off, but if you can cope with economy then it can be a decent price.

As an example in my case (lets say it is 2 people) from Manchester for 5 nights

Virgin Holidays package , leaving Sunday 15th Sept, Arriving back Saturday morning, with a 5 night stay in Caesars Palace - £1769

Now do that seperately:

- cheapest hotel room there at the moment , book direct with the hotel, is $€955.40 (£757.25)
- Thomas Cook return economy flights for 2 people £1339.96

TOTAL = almost £2,100

Virgin flights to LAS will have moved from LGW to LHR by the time Skewy's trip comes around.

Virgin Holidays also have a big January sale, so wait until then at least.
