Hi All

My name is Gav, the founder of Darts Planet TV

Just see this thread and wanted to reply.

Our magazine has been in huge demand and we are only on our second issue, we only have around 33 left in stock this month, the 1st Issue sold out as will this one. The magazine is Glossy and jam packed with content from our 14 darts writers, player interviews, PDC, BDO, JDC, Around the world & county sections to. We also have a quiz, fantastic giveaways, Q&As, whats Hot & What’s not, darts stats, rankings & so much more. The 2nd Issue was increased to 48 pages from 32 due to so many of our writers submitting content.

The magazine has been sent all over the world, and also can be purchased on the Red Dragon website, A180 Darts, local Exhibition companies and on our own website.

We are working with the best darts companies in the world, and also teamed up with many to sell at big events & exhibitions.

Just wanted to answer a few of your questions I have seen ...

The magazine is really high quality, but the price is just £2.50+ P&P, we want it to be affordable for every dart fan in the world.

The demand has been incredible and it’s only the beginning of our journey, we have so many plans and an incredible team to ensure it’s the best darts read on the planet.

The magazine is available Worldwide, I think a few people may have selected the wrong option when ordering overseas.

UK Magazine Delivery - £1.99
Overseas Magazine Delivery - £3.99

We have done extensive testing on mobile and 70% of our customers checkout on this device, so apologies for those of you that have had issues, if they persist, please do get in touch with me so I can look into it.

If you have any questions at all, please get in touch, and for those of you that have already purchased the magazine, thanks for your support and I hope your enjoying it.

Lastly, print definitely is not dead, far from it.

Gav

Best save Ginge a post here ;)

Why does it cost £1.99 for delivery ?

At most it could cost is £1.32 for 2nd class or £1.50 for first class of which you would be able to recover the VAT from or a discount for PPI mailing

you don't want it packaged then?
anyway, its very cheap at £2.50 (not sustainable at that price so must be to get sales going and people subscribing, so I guess they are recouping a bit of that)

An A4 padded envelope costs 10p at most if you buy a box the flimsy plastic things they use for magazines must be in the terms of less than 1p each.

Plus they could get it printed etc and shipped from China for the cost of pennys per issue

Well given that you can easily buy things from China on ebay or Amazon etc and it costs considerably less to buy and be delivered here than it would cost to just send an item via Royal Mail from the next town it's obviously slightly less in cost than here.

And surely if they wanted to build the readership subscriber base quickly and significantly they would look to make the fixed cost of delivery as cheap as possible to the 'buyer'.

Fancy coming around and packaging 10,000 magazines for free? And when you have done that get in your car and take them to the post office for us.

They are hardly going to get it printed in another country, much print media is already out of date to some degree by the time it hits the shelves and doormats as it is, this would add days onto it.

Totally ignoring the fact that any pritner who can do a 10000 magazine run also has the facility to produce them direct already packaged in preprnted delivery covers .You made an extra (at least) £6800 from over charging 10,000 persons I doubt it cost anywhere near that for 4 people on minimum wage to do it in 2-3 days

£1.99 p&p is extremely reasonable, anyone who's ever done a print and post run knows the manual handling involved.
