Paula Jacklin, number 4 woman’s player in the world according to this list. The mind absolutely boggles. It’s like some tin pot throwback to women’s tennis in the 1930s where standing in the game was dependent on size of wallet and thus capacity to travel to tournaments as opposed to actual capability at the sport.
Her points

Greek Open 2019 90 Points
Gibraltar Open 2019 90 Points
Acropolis Darts Open 2019 90 Points
Czech Open 2019 74 Points
Malta Open 2019 63 Points
Swedish Open 2019 59 Points
French Open 2019 59 Points
Open Italia 2019 44 Points
Italian Grand Masters 2019 44 Points
French Classic 2019 29 Points
Dutch Open Darts 2020 26 Points
Open Belfry 2019 22 Points
Open Bruges 2019 22 Points
Bulls German Open 2019 18 Points
Bulls Darts Masters 2019 15 Points
Slovak Open 2019 11 Points

She won 3 events last year. Hence her high ranking

Women’s ranking are always going to be a bit of a joke though the WDF ones should be better than the BDO ones when it comes to deciding who qualifies for the Worlds but we shall see come the end of the year.

Thanks Oche I know how the points system works and your response articulates in numbers my point exactly - I don’t see any points from a single British tournament. Her 3 event wins are in obscure back woods tournaments. Her ability to travel (and presumably with expenses subsidised as the wife of a high ranking BDO official) to these tournaments sole reason she is ranked so high. On ability alone I would doubt she is amongst top 20 women players.

I doubt she's in the top 100 women players in the world on a level playing field.

20 average for Lincs today. There will have been at least 50-60 women's averages higher at county over the weekend I would estimate.

Isn't the rule that only 10 results count for the WDF ranking?

Serious question - will she even bother playing in this?

Hmm. That isnt run by the WDF though, and she may have already paid for flights and stuff so didnt want to waste them.
