What events will actually have been played by the cut-off? Not as many as normal surely? They will have to use more PC winners. I think finalists from BDO World Champs, World Master and Women's World Champ. Maybe someone based on WDF if they want to work with them in the future, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I did wonder about that approach. Invited players don't get ranking money, so it's not disruptive.

i'd imagine whatever barry wants this year will happen, it will be a new format in changing times

the bdo company that ran it's last majors has gone bust and the other bdo bit that isn't anything to with it has only said it wants to do some county darts next year and some kids comps, though will probably have more bailiffs than fans at any event it does in the uk - could make for a bullseye style episode of can't pay we'll tek it away, best of order please

Could get Ashton in since she’s masters and wdt champ but then you have to put in John O’Shea, he’s a nice guy but not as good as his dad Tony.

It really will.

It had edged ahead of the grand prix and uk open for me as the 3rd best PDC comp over the last decade or so. If it's just going to be 32 tour card holders or such going forward, it'll drop back behind them in my eyes.

I hope not as she hasn’t got far enough in anything to deserve it. The only way they might do it is if they changed the 8 BDO places to something like 4 invited women and 4 other invites.

What exactly has she had a chance since Ally Pally anyway?? She drew in the PL and has done pretty well in the Modus leagues.

I think the 4 women and 4 other invites would be the way to go and would suggest Sukuzi, Fallon, Ashton and one other plus Warren, John O’Shea, Williams and Adams.

Number 4 woman would have to be Greaves. It's not close. She and Sherrock were playing all the finals after the Worlds and hitting 80s and the odd 90 (esp Sherrock).. O'Shea would be embarrassing, but he won the Masters. But, I'm not sure they'll do that many.
