Wonder if they'll cancel them next year if the people they want to qualify don't get through, like they did in 2010.

I didn't know that there is a Grand Slam qualifier for the ladies. How many places are up for grabs?

1. Suzuki already in as the final BDO Women's World Champion.

I'd not be surprised if Greaves didn't play. She hasn't played in any of the recent Development Tour or Challenge Tour events. Maybe just focusing on education for now. She's clearly normally in the top 4 women players in the world, with final days of the BDO Women being the Sherrock and Greaves show, but she's 16 and COVID has killed a lot of tournament and exhibition play.

I also expect the numbers for the GSOD qualifier to be low. It's winner takes all, so would just be a practice day for most of them.

But there should be a good turnout of the top Women players for the Women's Series, since it pays out like a Challenge Tour event.

Well given they have far better players this year I doubt it.

Ashton is the best women by some distance

Then you have Suzuki in second and Fallon in third.

So the Grand Slam qualifier has nothing to do with the PDC Women's Series, or women for that matter!

What now? Its a WOMENS Grand Slam qualifier, so I would certainly say it has something to do with women ;)

https://www.pdc.tv/news/2020/08/18/pdc- ... -metrodome

Free entry for the qualifier, the day before the other womens only events start at the same venue.

Thank you for clarifying - I was confused by Darts Connect which says 8 places are up for grabs! I thought they'd confused the main qualifier:

https://tv.dartconnect.com/eventmenu/pdcgsodq20

PDC Women's Grand Slam of Darts Qualifier
Home/PDC Events/Event Menu
The Top Eight (8) players will qualify for the PDC Grand Slam being held 09-17 November in Wolverhampton.

That used to be an A+ for women in the BDO.

Greaves is playing.

With no Suzuki, Ashton and Sherrock should now be clear favorites to qualify for the WC.
GSOD will be more interesting. Other players will be hoping they'll be drawn in the same half.
