THE 2021 TSOD/RED DRAGON UK OPEN PREDICTION COMP-HOMEPAGE
The Red Dragon 2021 UK Open Prediction Game-Homepage
As previous years, your task is once again to pick a squad of players from pre-determined groups and answer a bunch of bonus questions. The groups and template will be in the Prediction Thread, which will be separate and posted shortly, this will be the only prediction you will need to make for the duration of the event.
Prizes
The winner and the runner-up in the overall standings will each win a set of darts of their choosing from the Red Dragon catalogue (up to a value of £40, or £40 off a more expensive set) (Click Here)
**The darts you would like to win/get £40 towards will need to be stated in your prediction upon submission. Any entry with this not stated will be ineligible for the prizes.
Player Selection
In the Prediction thread, there will be a link to the attachment with the groups and selection criteria in the OP.
You will select a required number of players, from groups decided by me, although they are in ranking order so no surprises.
You will be able to select a total of 32 players.
Scoring
Players losing a match - 1 point per leg won
Players winning a match - 1 point per leg won, plus the leg difference of the match converted to points
Example: In a 6-5 match the winner will score 6+1 = 7 points and the loser 5 points, in a 6-3 match the winner will score 9 points and the loser 3, etc.
Additionally, each nine-dart finish will add 20 points to the player's tally.
All matches will count.
Bonus Questions
In addition to your group selections, please answer the following 10 bonus questions (maximum 200 points available):
1) How many of the Friday afternoon matches (Rounds 1,2 &3) will end in a whitewash? **byes and walkovers do not count has to be a completed match
(20 points for correct answer, 10 points if one out, 5 points if two out)
2) How many sub 80 averages will be registered in Rounds 1&2?

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES - Friday, 5 March up to start of broadcast
Smallprint
i) Should it be necessary to break a tie to decide the overall winner and/or the users receiving the prizes the tiebreaker guesses will be used, with the nearest guess prevailing.
If STILL tied, only the points scored through the 6 players selected in the Associate Member Qualifiers group will be compared, with the higher score prevailing.
In the unlikely case of a tie through all tie-breakers, the earlier entry wins.
ii) The sets of darts will be awarded for first and second place in the standings, these will be up to and including the value of £40. In the event of the winner wanting a more expensive set, the £40 can be offset against the price of the required darts. Should a winning entry not state which darts they would like, the entry will be ignored for prize purposes and revert to next in the standings.
iii) Walkover matches will be scored as a 6-0 (or equivalent in later rounds) for the winning and losing players. Byes and no shows will not count for any player points, the player progressing to the next round will score zero.
iv) An effort will be made to notify users of malformed entries; for entries not corrected by the user by the deadline, an attempt will be made to correct them as follows:
- Groups with too many players will have names removed, starting with the last name listed.
- Groups with too few players will be left short-handed.
- Players that are not part of the group for which they are selected will be removed.
- Bonus questions with invalid answers will be considered not answered.
- Entries without a tie-breaker guess will be deemed to have forfeited their chance to win through the first tie-breaker stage.
v) No entries made after the published deadline will be accepted. No exceptions!
The decisions of myself and the site moderators are final.
Any entry made by duplicate accounts and known trouble-makers will be disregarded.

Had it a few years back also. When they haven't been able to verify your bank account so they have to wait for your funds to clear before sending it to the recipient.

Even I have Apps figured.
Why use a greasy 3rd party like PayPal when a simple bank transfer will do it?
And before you ask - insomnia.
