God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.
I used to love cycling but unfortunately I know a man who doesn’t like cyclists.

Re: Favourite Lakeside memories
Haven't we done this before?
Re: Favourite Lakeside memories
Probably, but there is a lot of ad-hoc repeating of drivel at the moment so I thought some more might help relieve the boredom.
Re: Favourite Lakeside memories
Is this the ad-hoc repeating of drivel that you partake in?

In an attempt to divert the thread off topic, I'll note that ad hoc doesn't require a hyphen unless perhaps in a discussion of advertising where the meaning could be confused.

Re: Favourite Lakeside memories
I've said it before and I'll say it again: 2002, quarter-final King v van Barneveld.
The only Lakeside game where both players averaged above 100.
Van Barneveld had averaged above 100 in his 2 previous matches and was looking like he was going to cruise to another title.
King had started the tournament slowly, picked it up in the 2nd round against some Austrian guy called Suljovic (whatever happened to him?), then played a great game against van Barneveld, won his semi-final comfortably and bottled it in the final, with a bad start that left him unable to come back against a good game from David.
