Not too bad to say they had over a year with no crowds allowed in to help pay for it.

OK, can you cite one recent example (lets say, the last 10 years) in the UK where Channel A has lost the rights to a sport/game, and Channel B has taken it over with all existing personnel still in place?

The SPFL is a whole sport? ;)

I would dare say the coverage there was produced by an indi, and just changed channels. Sky produce the darts themselves, so I would suggest a bit different. Assuming Oche's prediction is correct, and the whole of Skys output of darts go to DAZN, they will put their own stamp on it just like ITV and the BBC did.

Oche, thats 2 people. Not the whole presenting/comms team. Did Channel 4 keep Tony Green? I have no memory of that. Maybe tried to block it out.

The SPFL was split between Sky and BT. When BT lost its portion of the rights - all of the regulars (Rory Hamilton, Emma Dodds, Chris Sutton, Ally McCoist, Alex Rae, John Hartson etc) went too. Sky just kept Kris Boyd, Andy Walker, Ian Crocker etc and replaced Hayley McQueen (preggers) with Eli Barbour. There is none of the BT Sports people were parachuted regularly on to Sky.

Can happen
If DAZN take over darts coverage from Sky, Eddie Hearn will do what he did with the Boxing, headhunt those presenters and commentators he feels would add to the DAZN coverage. From memory Tony Bellew fitted the criteria that DAZN were looking for and he moved from Sky.

Is Hearn really going to shift this from Sky? Isn't darts the second biggest draw on Sky after football? They largely shape their Christmas schedule around both.

It's one thing taking the boxing away. Boxing on PPV style TV is old hat and proven to make money. Darts? How many subscribers are there to PDC TV? A few thousand?

I would argue darts is even more important to Sky at Christmas now that Amazon have got all the Premier League fixtures after Boxing Day and before New Year.
