Well if you live in the south and drive to this you only need to win joint 5th to be in profit after the petrol

To be fair the way this country is heading you'll need to win the PDC worlds to break even in petrol before long.

Probably why numbers so low it used to get 400+ Mens and 100+ lady’s I reckon they only just get 256 and 64

Ladies for the Classic already at 73, so who knows. It's the EDO events that are really suffering, only 84 men signed up for the England Classic at the moment!

And this will take numbers away.
But I have said many times, the interest in WDF events seems to be dwindling and I have been shot down when I say this.
But the entries are getting less and less per event based on years gone by.

And no world master or world champ announcement so that will affect numbersBag Carrier wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 11:56 amAnd this will take numbers away.

I'd reserve any judgment on numbers, given the impact of energy prices and other price increases on disposable incomes, and the current mess in air travel.Bag Carrier wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 11:56 amAnd this will take numbers away.

Agree, people are going to pick and choose more carefully over the next couple of years. The situation for darts organisations which aren't the PDC is extremely challenging.1205 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 3:51 pmI'd reserve any judgment on numbers, given the impact of energy prices and other price increases on disposable incomes, and the current mess in air travel.Bag Carrier wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 11:56 amAnd this will take numbers away.

its days / nights away, entertainment like this that will suffer the cost of living, i no 5 folk in uk who are not going they have done previously, put off by cost of fuel / digs/ meals etc they all went for the yearly jolly, i can see the wdf side in the uk catching a serious cold here, euro land has not got as deep a problem eg in germany the 365 euro for a years train travel is on the cards so folk are encouraged to travel around

yes the 9 euros train ticket for 30 days has caught on & the public have warmed to it, so the 365 euro / years travel seems a go er moving forwards, point is that i think theres more chance of wdf tourneys been better supported over here than in the uk cos folk are actively encouraged to travel & not put off from doing so by higher costs
