Re: Best ever final???
Can remember the Gregory Taylor game as we had superleague on the night, and we were all late.
Finals were on a Saturday back then.
So many players turned up late, they had to let us all play.
Wasn't too bad, as I had a 30.36 average that night.

Re: Best ever final???
I'm pretty sure it was Radstock we played that night (at home) at Fry's club in Keynsham.
Was only best of three back in those days.
It was the return game at your place, where I played Steve Smith and we were both crap with 19 averages. It dropped my averages down and I finished 2nd in the overall averages after Mike Gregory, who only played one game and hit a 34.95 average. Think my average for the season was 25.84 or something very similar, and 9 wins.
Can remember Roger Smith coming over and telling me how I'd just screwed up my averages. (like I didn't know that already).

I'm sure you don't want someone who can't actually play reminding you of missed doubles.
Oops.
Deffo one of the great games of all time.

My favourite final was the Adams/Nixon final and the fightback from Nixon from being 6-0 down to 6-6 before losing to Adams 7-6
