Taylor will hammer King.

Jenkins v Huybrechts, Wade v Burnett, Lewis v Thornton, Anderson v Winstanley, Whitlock v MvG, Webster v Lloyd....this is where the shocks could be!

I cant see plenty seeds fall in R1. Highest quality field ever.

I remember posting the same comment last year, but I agree. The Matchplay always has the most in form players competing.

Reckon King has a good chance of beating Taylor

King is back to his best and Taylor sometimes has a few wobbles early doors

Chizzy to win the event for me, playing awesome and beating everyone

Oh and Chizzyfan, if you want some tips, come to me mate and leave your thoughts at home :-)

Hope Anderson is properly fit

Looking forward to seeing James Hubbard on the stage at Blackpool, yet another learning curve for him, expect him to take to it like the proverbial Duck

comparing the line up of 2011 to todays line-up... on paper I would say it looks stronger this year... certainly fresher

7 of the 10 players who are now 'replaced' went out in the first round last year, and the other 3 in the second... I fancy the 10 new/returning faces to fair a lot better.

2011 OUT
Steve Brown
Jamie Caven
John Henderson
Mark Hylton
Wayne Jones
Denis Ovens
John Part
Scott Rand
Alan Tabern
Peter Wright

2012 IN
Richie Burnett
Joe Cullen
Brendan Dolan
Michael van Gerwen
James Hubbard
Kim Huybrechts
Michael Smith
Robert Thornton
Ian White
Dean Winstanley

Def a stronger line up this year

Which makes the match betting a little harder as well

Huybrechts, van Gerwen and Hubbard all playing really well, Burnett on fire lately

Looking good, great line up and I really think Chizzy has a great shot at winning this. Will be tough against Winstanely or Anderson in the Second round though.. I really think it will be a Whitlock Chizzy final, maybe that is just in hope considering Chizzy's 7-0 head to head with Whitlock...

If you look at the non-seeds in isolation it would still be a very good tournament!

Year on year the line up just gets stronger and stronger.

Thats due to the switchers and now the youth tour as well.

The standard will be scary in years to come.

You assume he will get that far. I get the impression he is turning up merely to collect the money, unless his eye situation improves.
