Think Evans lost that when he stood and applauded Barney's 164 finish.

Barney 164 out with Rapid sitting on 32 to go up 2-0 in final set was huge.
Thinking of one.

Barney showing he has still got it when it matters.

That 164 checkout was the difference between winning and losing that match.

He lost when Barney hit the 164.

Amazing finish from RVB and in interview after the match, he compared it to Ando's 140 checkout against MVG last week.

That interview was just awful, seems to be quite full of himself. Compare yourself to Ando for sure, this was a first round game against a player who hasn't got a clue how to hit a double.

In fairness to Raymond, whilst I agree that his interview overall was not great, he was trying to articulate the point that such a finish, not only changed the match, but also could be the catalyst for him having a great tournament.

Has been a great first night thus far, but think Cullen, Evans and Hopp will be disappointed in how they played.

Found it bit meh tonight. The Barney game was fantastic. Webster's performance amazing. But apart from that you could write down the winner after the first two legs.

This is a cutthroat tournament, and so unpredictable. Double start & race to 6 legs essentially for the top 32 in the world is great fun, but "upsets" to be expected.

It's not a race to 6 legs.
