Unfortunately rightly or wrongly the crowd don’t see him as one of their own. Watch the premier league in Belfast they loved him
There is a marked difference of the fans who attend Dublin and Belfast events. Unfortunately in Dublin very few will like him whereas in Belfast he will have a greater fan base.

As for the celebration to his 140 it looked as if was gamesmanship returned to Ron who had a couple of prior celebratory outbursts. Still don't agree with it though and still nowhere near as annoying as Gerwyn Price who at times celebrates every visit to the board.
Nobody really moans that much with Corey Cadby's ott celebrations, All part of the game and gamesmanship will always exist in darts.
It may be gamesmanship but it is also very cringeworthy.

All adds to the entertainment, Personally i would rather watch 2 very average players giving it the beans and kicking off at each other than say Ando vs Wright with the only focus being on the averages and scoreline.

I didnt see the Gurney incident but the fact the criticism came from WizardofozFan means I am already dismissing it..

Not a fan of Gurney's but I can see why he would have done what he did, Ive done similar things in games when others give it the beans when they hit a big out or 180 against me, I go all out to give it back and then some.

It can work for you if your struggling and give you that bit of a lift in matches but then if your outdone you look a twat, All about timing with behaving aggressively, Get it right and you can knock your opponent on their arse, Get it wrong and your on the end of a proper beating.

I don't like MvG actually and have never cheered (maybe during the nearly back to back 9-darters) for him :grin

No fan of Gurney but Melenkamp was on his shoulder as soon as throw over. No problem with it as far as I saw it?If anything it was the Dutch lad infringing the space

Holy crap, Price getting closer and closer to MvG with his gurning, screaming, spasms and all the other "celebrations" you usually don'rt get to see outside of secured psychiatric wards, It's painful to watch and sickening that young players tend to follow these "role models"-

Any idea what Wilson was doing when walking off pretending to type on phone? Watching on tablet with no sound.
Thinking of one.

I think he was saying he didn't calculate his finish properly.
Or he was phoning home ET style to get picked up from this dreadful match.

That's me just caught up with tonight's action on Sky+.

Really pleased for James Wilson, and genuinely thought he would beat Adie tonight.

Mensur and Snakebite both looked good tonight, and for me are certs for the semis.

Think Gary will smash Gurney, and have a sneaky feeling that Chizzy could finally stop his horrendous run against MVG.

Apologies, meant to be a tongue in cheek post, but just realised it is Duterprat, rather than you who is the huge MVG fan.
