Williams caught up with DartsNews a month on from his run which saw him reach the Last 64 and defeat Robert Owen, Adrian Gray and Jose de Sousa en route; to sum up his experience in Minehead.

God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.

Anyone who has watched this care to summarise the key points? Half an hour is a bit heavy going.

Thank you both.
I see Uncle Barry has given him his own personal blessing on twitter. After previously accusing the PDC of money laundering

I'd say that's how 90% of journalism works these days.

That is indeed how it works. We see our interviews also popping up everywhere, and also our other unique content. As long as you give the credits to the one who wrote the original article (with a link).Ginge wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 10:45 pmSpend months failing to get an interview with CadbyZweeler wrote:We summarized it here: https://dartsnews.com/cadby-sets-sights ... g-is-back/

Btw that is what we do, many of our content which is used and rewritten, we never get any credit and for sure no link. Again, this is how it works.

Re: Dartsnews.com
Yeah, we did a few attempts. Clearly not enough. It was also not our biggest priority, so we are happy that someone else did it.
We do a lot of attempts to get interviews, with many players. But not always with success. We also do not want to annoy them, or their managers, otherwise they do not want to speak to us at all anymore. It is a delicate balance. We are slowly getting better at it. Building a relationship for a journalist is crucial to get the best interviews.
Darts News is also still in development, we want to improve a lot. Get better and better. That also takes time.

Re: Dartsnews.com
Surely the job of a journalist is to be impartial? What you have just said is hardly that.

Re: Dartsnews.com
In most cases we try to be, but that is not always possible. For example, if a player tell us something off the record, or we find something out and verify it first if it is true or not. And we ask him/her if we can publish, it can happen that they do not want us to do that. Or later. In most cases we will do what the player asked. But that all depends on the situation.
Believe me that we receive enough email/FB messages, that they are not happy with us. Even though we have all proof that the situation occurred or that someone said something etc.. We of course only get email/FB posts/Forum messages if someone does not like what we do.
It is a thin line, and not as black and white as you suggest. Unfortunately
