Williams caught up with DartsNews a month on from his run which saw him reach the Last 64 and defeat Robert Owen, Adrian Gray and Jose de Sousa en route; to sum up his experience in Minehead.
Can you catch up with Cadby? No obviously he is too quick for you, not bad for a fat lad eh?
Here you go.

Are you Phill Barrs? If not does he have anything to do with you?

Thank you both.

I see Uncle Barry has given him his own personal blessing on twitter. After previously accusing the PDC of money laundering :)

Spend months failing to get an interview with Cadby
Third party finally gets an interview with Cadby
Summarise interview and whack it up on your own website.

Standard.

That is indeed how it works. We see our interviews also popping up everywhere, and also our other unique content. As long as you give the credits to the one who wrote the original article (with a link).

Btw that is what we do, many of our content which is used and rewritten, we never get any credit and for sure no link. Again, this is how it works.

Did you ever even try to contact Cadby for an interview?

Yeah, we did a few attempts. Clearly not enough. :-) It was also not our biggest priority, so we are happy that someone else did it.

We do a lot of attempts to get interviews, with many players. But not always with success. We also do not want to annoy them, or their managers, otherwise they do not want to speak to us at all anymore. It is a delicate balance. We are slowly getting better at it. Building a relationship for a journalist is crucial to get the best interviews.

Darts News is also still in development, we want to improve a lot. Get better and better. That also takes time.

Surely the job of a journalist is to be impartial? What you have just said is hardly that.

Try telling that to Laura Kuenssberg. Frothing whenever Johnson is in the same postcode as her.

In most cases we try to be, but that is not always possible. For example, if a player tell us something off the record, or we find something out and verify it first if it is true or not. And we ask him/her if we can publish, it can happen that they do not want us to do that. Or later. In most cases we will do what the player asked. But that all depends on the situation.

Believe me that we receive enough email/FB messages, that they are not happy with us. Even though we have all proof that the situation occurred or that someone said something etc.. We of course only get email/FB posts/Forum messages ;-) if someone does not like what we do.

It is a thin line, and not as black and white as you suggest. Unfortunately :-)
