Well he certainly took advantage of 7/8 of the top names giving the full weekend a swerve, how well do you think he would have done had the Dubai 8 been in attendance for the full weekend? Serious question now.

It would have been tougher it would be silly to say different but i genuinely beleive that the way he played on Sunday i think he would have beat anyone. Three or four ton + averages. Hitting the right shots at the right time.

See, discussing darts in a sensible manner is fun, isnt it?

I didnt watch any of the matches (of course) but from the sounds of it he was in good nick. Winning both with MVG in the field? Not for my money. Winning both even without the Top 8 is just plain crazy and I would never have put money on it, so fair play to him.
