Fair play. Great tribute to his grandfather that.

Poulidor was always a crowd favourite ahead of Anquetil who was considered a bit aloof from the ordinary fans, but never won the TDF despite a number of podium finishes.

How many crashes in the peloton today?

Lots of GC favourites losing time and some nasty injuries.
