No way should this rubbish be using a prestigious name such as the masters, we already have proper one that's been around for ages. I can't understand how they get away with it.

About time the top 16 in the pdc squared up against each other.

Can't wait.

You will enjoy it. Went to the first two years of this tournament when it was held in Edinburgh, and had a great weekend.

Agree with Paddy who posted earlier that this tournament does not have the same heritage as the Winmau Masters in the BDO, but given it is the only tournament in the PDC Calendar which is exclusive to the OOM Top 16, I genuinely believe, that like the similar event in Snooker, this will become one of the most prestigious events within the PDC schedule.

this is the event the pdc should spice up instead of the usual bets of 19-21 why not play best of 9 sets 3 legs 11 sets final all event on itv the same be nice if 1 of had different format

I like this event because it gets people upset that the PDC are using the Masters name, long may it continue.

Don't they use 'Masters' in about 8 events.

What that it has the same name as a golf tournament. Some people are weird.

like the concept of top 16 in a masters tournament but does it have to be 1v16, 2v15 etc - draw it out of the hat and lets see MVG v Anderson in round 1 etc. Much more interesting

Heard that Uncle Barry forced every single one of the forum users to watch this. If you don't like darts played at the highest level, move on from this thread.

Prior to the start of the Masters, 3DA has collated the overall win% for each of the current PDC Top 16 in matches against each other over the last year.
