haha yeah, you can put it like that. I think we found some common ground here. I assume most sport sites are like that nowadays. With some sites better then other sites.ILAD wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 4:20 pmBut that just proves you are simply darts fans with a website and not true journalists. Dartsnews is a site which provides news on darts. They are not investigative journalists, nor do they put themselves forward as such.ILAD wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 4:20 pmBut that just proves you are simply darts fans with a website and not true journalists. Personally, I check their site on a daily business, and find it informative, however when the article does not originate from them, always try to read the original.

On May 9, Kyle Anderson lost a couple of darts matches.
It happens. Sure, Anderson wasn’t at his best when falling to PDC Darts At Home defeats against Daniel Larsson and Martin Schindler. The Aussie has had a terrible time of it recently, rounded off by contracting coronavirus. And he did beat Dirk van Duijvenbode, in his defence. The Original finished bottom of his group – but nothing could’ve warranted the private messages he received during that evening.
Fair warning – some unsavoury language was included.
“My god. You suck at darts for real,” the private Twitter message began.

Anyone backing him was a moron anyway - it was hardly a secret he had just spent a month cooped up with coronavirus and no dartboard to practice on.

These people are indeed scumbags and I would delight in seeing them get prosecuted for sending hate messages.
But when you're entire livelihood and that of your "employers" is propped up by the betting industry, and gambling is probably the only reason the home tour is even taking part, perhaps you need to have thicker skin on social media towards the consequences of this.

Why pick on the PDC? In fairness you should at least list the BDO sponsored tournaments.Rout wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 4:09 pm William hill world championship

“I set myself the goal of winning three thousand pounds of prize money so as not to fall behind the various rankings. That worked out at 3500 pounds. But looking back on that, I didn’t feel – except one day – that my opponent was better than me. Maybe a bit of a match practice that I missed then, ” said Van Duijvenbode in an interview with DartsNews.

De Zwaan reflected on the lack of crowd and the difference it will make: “Of course that is a great pity. I would rather have been in a crowded Ahoy with all that audience there. Now you are in an empty room with a tape being played. That is quite different,” he admits in an interview with Darts News.

Raymond van Barneveld announced at the end of September that he would make his comeback on the darts circuit. The 53-year-old Dutchman will take part in Q-School in January, with the aim of regaining the Tour Card he relinquished just 12 months prior.
The five-time world champion only lasted a year on his darting pension. It's far from the first time that a sports icon has announced their comeback. Take these five, for example, who might give Van Barneveld an idea of what to expect...

That's not because of the system, but because the players are not good enough. Kurz would have made it though if he played yesterday's qualifier and claimed a spot.ssjsa wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 11:07 amZweeler wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 10:08 am https://dartsnews.com/pdc/van-der-voort ... ust-a-joke
