Game of Thrones - A classic, or fairy tales for kids and morons?

Post by Deleted User »

Genuine question coming up.

I've not seen 1 second of Game of Thrones as it strikes me that it's just a big load of Dungeons and Dragons with tits for the gamer generation.
However, I'm looking for something to binge watch of the coming festive season and am toying with moving onto this after Sons of Anarchy.

In the last couple of years I've discovered some gems like Life on Mars that I somehow avoided and maybe my cyicism is preventing from watching some good TV.

So here's the question - GoT - worth watching, or a load of old sockwank?

Your opinions are genuinely sought.

God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.

Also, anyone any idea why this doesn't show in the "Active Topics" listing?

Never seen it so can’t comment. However I am a bit concerned at your recent posting style. Get back to normal.

"House" and "Mad Men" are two I have completed relatively recently and would highly recommend both.

GOT, not my cup of tea at all as with any fantasy stuff.

Watched the lot. It's alright. But you'll get within a few episodes if it's for you or not.
Watched Aquarius the last few weeks which was good if you want a less episode loaded series.

I watch a lot of SNL and a recurring theme that comes up in sketches about GOT is that they like to show a lot of mens willies.

So might be right up your street Daveyboy.

GoT is a good watch, a bir farcical but packed with plot twists and some great actors.

Have a look at Justified with Timothy Olyphant, sex and drugs and Country music.

It's based on an Elmore Leonard book so plenty of action and gorgeous women in cowboy boots......

Frankly none of what has been discussed so far is my cup of tea, watched one GOT and promptly sacked it off.
