Haven’t they struggled to sell tickets for this for years ? Given the venue isn’t actually in Dublin but some where outside the city so not even easy for locals to get to especially if you want to have a drink so shouldn’t be driving.

With Covid they may think safer to just not schedule it there. The Irish Government still don’t seem to be letting people into outdoor sports events let alone indoor ones. The Dublin Euro football games got moved to Wembley and elsewhere as no crowds in Dublin which UEFA wouldn’t accept.

Plus they have recently introduced compulsory quarantine for U.K. arrivals given the risk of people from here bringing the Delta variant.

It's a bit of an oddball tournament so maybe they can start moving it around. Really make it the World Grand Prix.

Very unlikely Durrant doesn’t make the Grand Prix.
I think the only players who could knock him out with ET2 results are Whitlock and King and they would both need to win it.
Only others in touch on the OOM who could have done it Gurney and White aren’t qualified.

Durrant could get lucky at the Grand Prix as well as only top 8 seeded so he could get a lucky draw.
