Or the fact that it's held in the South of England and pretty much no-one outside a 50 mile radius is going to travel even for a freebie.Bomber wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 2:06 pm maybe it's because 9 out of 10 dart players or fans or people contributing cash toward darts are english and it's standard business practice to look after your biggest customers
the 1 in 10 people from the other nations could get a tenth of the allocation but is it really worth publicising that pair of tickets?
it's no big deal, don't spose they've given any tickets to the french either though it would be no surprise to see a few hundred 'asylum seekers' filling the tables later tonight - them fuckers get everything and everywhere and we know they're already in the rooms, gratis of course
Re: Why only England darts
a logical and valid point but you may be surprised to find out there are literally millions of johnny foreigners in the south of england and thousands more landing by dinghy every dayAntony Harboyle-Degg wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 2:10 pmOr the fact that it's held in the South of England and pretty much no-one outside a 50 mile radius is going to travel even for a freebie.Bomber wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 2:06 pm maybe it's because 9 out of 10 dart players or fans or people contributing cash toward darts are english and it's standard business practice to look after your biggest customers

And if those "Johnny Foreigners" in the South of England play darts then they are likely to be affiliated to England darts, you silly racist.Bomber wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 2:20 pma logical and valid point but you may be surprised to find out there are literally millions of johnny foreigners in the south of england and thousands more landing by dinghy every dayAntony Harboyle-Degg wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 2:10 pmOr the fact that it's held in the South of England and pretty much no-one outside a 50 mile radius is going to travel even for a freebie.Bomber wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 2:06 pm maybe it's because 9 out of 10 dart players or fans or people contributing cash toward darts are english and it's standard business practice to look after your biggest customers

God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.
I used to love cycling but unfortunately I know a man who doesn’t like cyclists.

From TT on real darts fanatics.
As a darts organiser, there is no doubting that times are going to get tougher in the promotion of darts events for the players, and to guarantee original promises.
I know having run the biggest tournaments outside of the PDC in England, the cost of running the events isn’t just about the prize money, in most cases of the events we run is in advance of £20,000 but the associated cost of providing accommodation for the officials, transport of equipment, sourcing of equipment etc., and having to be a registered company, with costs such as accountancy fees, insurance costs, these initial cost invariably are double, when the event finishes.
I see a few people who are advertising running events on a regular basis, and affiliating their events to other darting bodies they wish to associated themselves with, and I was just wondering whether these are individuals are running a business who declare their earnings, or just keep themselves under the radar for a bit of extra cash?
I have looked on company’s house and can find no sign of mosts of these dart organisers, and whilst I don’t think anyone will be bothered about an odd one, possible like a County Open, these events for me highlight an ongoing business.
One big problem with this is when events promise further next level enhancements to their original basic remunerations advertised at the events they run, which are then not fulfilled are they responsible?, or nowt to do with me guv, see "whoever", and is "whoever" in a contractual basis with the original organiser? Food for thought.
