I've said consistently over the years, usually against the tide, that I believed the split in darts to be a good thing.

Looking at how things are now, I can only sit in a state of disappointed smugness at how on the money that was.

3 of the 4 semi finalists in the Grand slam from 2 years ago have still not qualified for this

With Portuguese Winstanley defending 150k , Mentalist Wade defending 65k and Barbara the prancing and dancing twink defending 40k a few more players will be doing a tumble down the rankings like the haggis slurping lazy dwarf Ando who was defending 10k at the slam
