Luke Littler and Jim Moston will make their Cazoo UK Open debuts in March after being amongst the opening Rileys Amateur Qualifiers for the event.
JDC World Junior Champion Littler celebrated his 16th birthday with victory in Saturday's Rileys Chorlton Qualifier as he made an immediate impact at senior level.
The Warrington prospect will be one of the 16 Rileys Amateur Qualifiers to take part in March's Cazoo UK Open at Butlin's Minehead Resort.
He was joined in qualifying by 23-year-old talent Moston, who won Sunday's Rileys Liverpool Qualifier, defeating Ash Khayat in the final.
Sunday's first Rileys Amateur Qualifier from London Victoria was Stuart White, who has previously played in the UK Open in 2011, 2012 and 2015.
The Rileys Amateur Qualifiers continue on January 28-29 with further knockouts at the Rileys clubs in South Benfleet, London Victoria and Coventry.
Entries will cost £10 and are available through the Rileys website - with entry open to all players who do not hold a PDC Tour Card.
Online entries will close at 1700 GMT on the day before a qualifying event takes place.
Please note that some venues cannot permit entries for under-18s. Please see the Rileys website for full details.
Entries will be limited to a maximum of 150 players per qualifier at Coventry, Harlow, Liverpool, London Victoria, Solihull and South Benfleet.

Re: UK Open 3-5 Mar Butlins Minehead
Qualifiers updated. 3 more this weekend.
Re: UK Open 3-5 Mar Butlins Minehead
Do we no longer have any (mock) outrage that they are all being held in England or that the closest one is miles from any given area ?

Mock anger.

That's better I was beginning to think Rout had gone for a walk with his dog and disappeared
Re: UK Open 3-5 Mar Butlins Minehead
Mock smells.

I lost interest when the PDC decided it wasn't a major anymore.

The Riley's qualifiers are seemingly all in a similar location, forcing Scottish and Welsh and people from the south west to travel far. In contrast, there were UK Open qualifiers all over the country, giving people from all areas a chance to get stuck in. I feel there should be more Riley's qualifiers that are spread throughout the country. But hey, what do I know?

Who gives a flying fuck. You want to qualify, you travel wherever is necessary

You're absolutely right. But they don't give a shite about the average darts player and never will.Smithy1412 wrote:The Riley's qualifiers are seemingly all in a similar location, forcing Scottish and Welsh and people from the south west to travel far. Amended some obvious trolling, warnings will be issued going forward.
Re: UK Open 3-5 Mar Butlins Minehead
Rileys dont give a shit and are there only for the profits they can make, Toilets all stink of mince and wee, Bar staff don't have a clue and I will never set foot in one again after going to 3 qualifiers not that I had a chance anyways but thought I would for the experience and a few drinks with a couple of mates
Re: UK Open 3-5 Mar Butlins Minehead
They previously hosted a qualifier in the Rileys in Sheffield but the place was just not big enough for the number of entries. I suspect it is probably the same in other locations. Plus most of them are absolute dives which you would usually avoid.Rout wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 6:46 pmYou're absolutely right.
