Pro Tour Markers.
Pro Tour Markers.
Just want to say a masshoosive thanks to Andy & Jamie who both marked for me over the weekend.
Both were very plight and excellent guys to have as markers.
I've never had a bad one yet.
Well done Dave Ahmet ( I know it's been said many times ) for getting this up and running.
Also hello to the forum members I've not seen for a while.
Regards
JP.

Glad to read that as I marked for Justin at the UK Open Qualifiers. Good to hear appreciative comments from the players.

That's all well and good Mr Pipe but I'm not sure the marking scheme can be deemed a success until we have Colin Monk and Andy Jenkins on board.

Re: Pro Tour Markers.
not really ginge, just that it gets tiresome reading the same thing about the markers constantley. We have a top proffesional coming on to thank the people that marked his game and immediatley its the same snipe at the markers and our unwillingness to talk about what we see on the pro tour. Immediatley followed by a little dig at Justin's pace.
just to clear things up for you all.
Most markers will not discuss what is seen on the pro-tour. End of
Justin Pipe is not as fast as some players . End of
Move onto something else.

Well I saw it as banter myself, if you see it as insults then perhaps this isnt the place for you (or stick to the sanctuary of the Markers sub-forum, either way )Adie wrote:not really ginge, just that it gets tiresome reading the same thing about the markers constantley. Unfortunately because of posts like JC's we rarely see markers write ups anymore. Although actual darts fans like to read them markers are reluctant because some people use them to take the piss.

Re: Pro Tour Markers.
Your not wrong, i have a write up half written from my first ever marking event still to finish, then came along the "markergate" thread where i quickly realised, why the hell should i waste my time and write about something i thouroughly enjoy, to be ripped apart by people who think we're controlled by the PDC, its as simple as this, if you want to mark, you sign the paperwork, if you dont sign, you dont mark....simples. I enjoy it, like many others...i have many friends that would love to join the marking scheme, also very capable of doing it, they just havent got the minerals.spaceman70 wrote:Unfortunately because of posts like JC's we rarely see markers write ups anymore. It takes alot of courage to mark for the pro's.....i believe the people who rip it to pieces, "would you do it"?
Ready for abuse............!
Re: Pro Tour Markers.
The markers used to do loads of write ups all the time. Nothing at all has changed in my opinion so i cant understand why they dont do them anymore. They had stopped doing them long before deangate happened as well.
Come on markers get back to do doing them.
