Not that averages mean anything really in darts, it's odd how in a short format event that the averages this weekend have so far been very poor. I think this just goes to show that except the top 8 in the PDC, all other players (PDC and BDO) are very similarly matched making for good viewing!

Interesting that out of the 7 ton plus averages in the DDM thus far, not one has been from a player in the top 8 of the current PDC OOM. ;-)

Think this next match will be a high quality one, with Snakebite winning 6-3 or 6-4, with the caveat, as long as he has lived up to his promise of throwing those darts he was using on Thursday in the bin.

Dan Dawson also referring to the fact that Wright has hit the most 180s in the last 200 tv legs of any PL player.

This data by 3 Dart Analyst was posted on the PL 2016 thread.

Didn't say you have to be top 8 to average 100 but the point is some think you can only win in the PDC with a 100+ average - clearly that isn't the case unless you are playing a top 8 player !

He is Dave, but still think he is of sufficient quality to maintain a Top 16 place, and if he can get back to the form he showed in his first year in the PDC, will be a tough match for many of the other Top 16 players.

Still think he has not yet recovered from that change of darts last year.
