Haven't I won more in the last 4 events than Joe?
Re: Coral UK Open Qualifiers - Events 4-6 19th-21st February 2016 Wigan
More than £1.6m in prize money won by MVG in the last 2 years. Exceptional.
Re: Coral UK Open Qualifiers - Events 4-6 19th-21st February 2016 Wigan
Hmmm.... Andrew £1,250, Joe £750. Joe won £2,000 in UKQ3 - does that count?Goldfinger wrote:Haven't I won more in the last 4 events than Joe?

I think you're right, but you said this earlier. Think this is a bit of a silly rule to be honest and needs to be clarified to save confusion.armchairfan wrote:First tie breaker is money won in UKQ3-6Goldfinger wrote:Haven't I won more in the last 4 events than Joe?

The first tiebreaker is money won in the last 4 events that count towards a particular Order of Merit
Last 4 events on the Main Order of Merit are UKQ4-6 and ET1
Stone won £250 in UKQ4. Hine won no money in these events.

Why on earth would ET1 be looked at? It isn't a UK Open event.

The main Order of Merit tiebreaker is only used when the players can't be split by the UK Open OOM tiebreaker.Dannyboy wrote:I think you're right, but you said this earlier. It was listed in the event brief on the PDPA site prior to the first weekend. The first time somebody brought it to my attention (on another forum) was back on the 23rd of January.clarky wrote:Players were not told about the no ties rule until after the first qualifier apparentlyifm wrote:That's gotta hurt, for the sake of 3 ties.

No play should be aiming to scrape in on the line anyway, so shouldn't matter if they were told after the first event or before it.
But as just said it was in the players brief so no player can plead ignorance.

I predicted this would cause some discussion!

Players knew what the rules would be before the event.crispy1978 wrote:I predicted this would cause some discussion!

I'm not denying that. But when it's been the same for a few years and then suddenly changes it always is a discussion point.Ginge wrote:Players knew what the rules would be before the event.crispy1978 wrote:I predicted this would cause some discussion!
