Las Vegas Desert Classic to return?
A tweet from Hearn suggests this event may be coming back

Hmm was considering a return to Vegas as a final long haul holiday next year - this could be tempting.

Itl be another world series event just called the Desert Classic.
I hope they bring back the cricket tournament they brought in for the last US event, would bring something different.

Would love this as a ranking event but as has already been postulated, it is likely to be a World Series event.

Which audience would they cater for if this was revived, it seemed to suffer with the afternoon or early morning sessions not looking well supported. Would it be better to move it to American evening time and have a packed crowd(haven't seen a rowdy American Darts crowd yet)

Based on the rest of the WSOD think they will move things to evening slots.Wubbalubbadubdub wrote:Which audience would they cater for if this was revived, it seemed to suffer with the afternoon or early morning sessions not looking well supported. They seem to be holding the WSOD events for local audience and TV, so happy to not hold to suit UK times. Possibly helps these are not on Sky Sports, but also why they seem to struggle getting UK TV coverage, and in many cases it's only shown on delay. The Jolly Man wrote:Based on the rest of the WSOD think they will move things to evening slots.Wubbalubbadubdub wrote:Which audience would they cater for if this was revived, it seemed to suffer with the afternoon or early morning sessions not looking well supported. But the WSOD hasn't struggled to get on tv. Think every event so far has been picked up by itv, certainly last year. At the same time from what the PDC say is that when it comes to the uk they feel the market isn't to far off saturation. I don't really see it, but they are pros in this game with the matchroom team. They want to see the PDC continue to grow though and through the WSOD they are doing it. Give it a few more years and the your will look different again. Will certainly change post Taylor and that coul be 18 months away.malcy93 wrote:They seem to be holding the WSOD events for local audience and TV, so happy to not hold to suit UK times.
