Decent move anyway

Makes sense.
Re: UK Open 2019 changes
Adds more value to the Tour Card as well, guaranteed entry into a TV event (Yes you may not get on TV but you know what I mean)

Re: UK Open 2019 changes
Down side is that the players are seeded into the event from the oom rather than the UK open oom that often through up a couple of surprises

Fair play to Hearn for listening to another of Rout's ideas.

Still an open draw though, so that element isnt totally lost. The Jolly Man wrote:Down side is that the players are seeded into the event from the oom rather than the UK open oom that often through up a couple of surprises

Re: UK Open 2019 changes
Dunno who Andersen is, perhaps some up and coming Swedish player, but I imagine whatever exemption happens now will still happen in March, just using the main merit list.nikkiboy wrote:So the top 32 PDC OOM (MVG Andersen etc.) still come in at the last 64 stage?Ginge wrote:

Re: UK Open 2019 changes
Eight events remain to be played across two weekends on the 2018 Challenge Tour circuit on September 8-9 and November 10-11, with the top two players from the final Order of Merit claiming a PDC Tour Card.
Following the 2019 PDC Qualifying School, the next 16 ranked non-Tour Card Holders from the final 2018 Challenge Tour Order of Merit will be invited to compete in the UK Open.

RD 4 1-32, + 32 £2000
Rd 5 32

RD2 65-96, + 32
RD 3 33-64, + 32 £1000
RD 4 1-32, + 32 £2000
