Re: Road to BDO World Championships 2019
If they are finding it hard in the PDC then there is no way they will be able to seriously compete with the more resilient players from the BDO. Their best chance is to get back in the PDC, at least there they can win money for just turning up and playing one game.....it's so much tougher in the BDO.

I wouldn't say it was five times tougher, maybe about 20% harder.Ginge wrote:Five.Paddy McGinty wrote:If they are finding it hard in the PDC then there is no way they will be able to seriously compete with the more resilient players from the BDO. I think that date might have just been taken over form 2017. It was ran by the Malyasian Darts Org with their open. And quite well advertised.
the open is being played on 4-7 October but no mention of the qualifier.
So I'm none the wiser.

The Malaysian Open isn't ranked this year so I think you are right. In fact I think only the Japan open is ranked in Asia at the moment so unless it was done over that weekend they may just be picking someone off the ranking list.

I notice the BDO still havent put the names of the 34/35 (?) qualified players on the website yet, despite the qualifier having started an hour or so ago.
