Lisa is averaging about 79 this year, I'd be amazed if she got a tour card. If Fallon plays as well as she did around the time of the World Trophy then she might get very lucky, but that form has deserted her. Women are not as good as men at darts, end of story. Doesn't mean that women's darts is not worth watching, but the likelihood of a woman winning a tour card is very low.Zeyes wrote:Well, we have the results of her 3 Challenge Tour weekends to go on. 2 of those sets of results would leave her miles away from the tour card, the third set would give her barely enough Q School points if she were to reach the same rounds there. However, Q School is significantly tougher than a Challenge Tour weekend: 1) The fields are two to three times larger, so one or two extra games to survive in each tournament, 2) unless you're winning a card outright you've got to keep your form for four days rather than two, and 3) the field includes the additional 30-odd players who've just lost their tour cards, so there are a lot more players who are at least borderline main tour-worthy than in a CT field.
There being worse players than Ashton with a card currently is neither here nor there, anyway. The relevant question is if they were worse than her when they won their tour cards.

He PM'd me yesterday saying he was coming to the Willy tomorrow.
Which of course, he isn't.

Yuanjun Liu won the PDC China Qualifier.

Nitin Kumar is the Indian representative.
Next weekend is the German Superleague Grand Final, plus the ROTW ladies qualifier in Düsseldorf. The African qualifier will also take place in Joburg.

I think I have read somewhere that Matt Edgar (nr 33 of Pro Tour OOM) will move up, but can't confirm this with the rules.
Last year, there was an extra ticket for the PDPA Qualifying.

Cadby is still listed in that and he's unlikely to be there as well

For me, looking at that line up, despite being sceptical about it initially, the PDC have been fully justified extending the field to 96 players. At least 29 countries will be represented which is a record.

Definitely agree. The preliminary games were pretty good last year. Standard is increasing both among the Pro Tour and the international players so it was a great move.Dannyboy wrote:For me, looking at that line up, despite being sceptical about it initially, the PDC have been fully justified extending the field to 96 players. Edgar is in. 1st round is an open draw.
Re: 2019 PDC World Championship- Alexandra Palace, London-13th December 2018- 1st January 2019
No, Edgar is ranked above Gilding. Gilding will be in though if Cadby resigns from the tournament, or if van de Pas were to drop out of the top 32 to the advantage of a player already qualifiedphil davies wrote:So Gilding is in aswell then as he is above Edgar.Duneh9617 wrote:Edgar is in. 1st round is an open draw.

Right decision making it an open draw. Makes the possibility of a few more opening round ties increase.Duneh9617 wrote:Edgar is in. 1st round is an open draw.
